The Spirit of Glyndwr Grey tartan. Owain Glyn Dwr was a descendant of the Princes' of Powys and the last crowned Prince Of Wales who owned land in North Wales around 600 years ago. After revolting against Henry IV from 1406, he is still regularly voted today as our most popular Welshman!
Glyn Dwr's eventual demise and the subsequent oppression in Wales paved the way for the migration of thousands of families from Wales to the America's. A great Welsh subject to research, if you live in USA/Canada and have a Welsh surname, your heritage might have started here.
