The vast majority of our kilts are made for customers outside of Wales, whom we unfortunately never get to meet in person. Read the many reviews from happy customers across the globe by clicking here, and rest assured knowing we’ll create a stunning, perfectly fitting garment for you.
- Available in any of our Welsh tartans
- Tartans are 100% wool, woven in the UK
- Kilt is pleated to sett, so the pattern is consistent as if you were looking at a flat piece of cloth (get in touch if you'd like your kilt pleated differently)
- Each pleat is normally between 1.1 and 1.3 inches wide, slightly wider than our 8 yard dress kilt model
- Two leather waist straps and buckles, allowing 1.5 inches of movement on either side of your actual waist size
- Two large belt loops on the back, perfect for a traditional kilt belt
- Optional subtle embroidery options available on Welsh kilts: Dragon, St David's Cross, or create your own!
Losing weight / worried about changing size? Our tailors can cleverly alter the waist (and length if needed) of your kilt later down the line... It's an extremely versatile garment! We can even include extra-long straps allowing up to 3 inches of movement on either side of your actual waist size.
A full set of instructions will be included with your delivery, showing you how to wear your outfit correctly. If you're still concerned, we encourage you to email us a picture of yourself wearing your new outfit when it arrives, and we'll be happy to check everything is where it should be!

- Always ask someone to measure you, never be tempted to measure yourself!
- Please take all measurements in inches.
- Please use a loose tailors tape measure, not a stiff DIY tape measure. These are cheap to buy either locally or online.
- Stand relaxed (do not breathe in), with your feet together and look straight ahead at all times.
- Ensure the tape measure is level all the way around for each measurement, it shouldn't be sloping or slanting.
- If you need our assistance, please get in touch for further assistance.
- Measure around your neck with one finger inside the tape for comfort.
- Measure high under the armpits, at the widest point around your upper body (relax your arms down to the side before recording the measurement)
- The tape measure should include the shoulder blades.
- Both arms must be relaxed down to the side.
- Where possible, this is best measured with a formal jacket on.
- Measure from the crown to cuff (where the sleeve meets the shoulder to the bottom of the cuff).
- Ensure this is not too long as some shirt cuff should be exposed.
- We can reasonably predict your sleeve length from your height and will call you to discuss if necessary.
- If you don't have a jacket to measure, measure from the top of your shoulder down to 1/2 inch past the wrist bone.
- Sleeve guide: 23.5" - Short Fitting, 24.75" - Regular Fitting, 26" - Long Fitting, 27.25" - Extra Long Fitting
- Your kilt waist is a few inches higher than your normal trouser waist.
- This should be a snug measurement at the widest point of the tummy, at navel height. The measuring tape should be as tight as you want your kilt to be.
- Please do not give us your normal trouser or jeans waist, as these will actually measure 2-3 inches smaller than the label suggests.
- Remove any items from your pockets and measure around the widest point of the seat/hips.
- As illustrated, this is normally around the widest part of your buttocks.
- Put three fingers inside the tape to allow room for comfortable movement.
- Please get someone else to take this measurement for you, this is very important.
- This measurement is best taken whilst kneeling down on both knees with your body upright, back straight and looking ahead at all times.
- Measure from the same position you recorded your kilt waist down to the floor and take off 1/2 inch. Please take this measurement down the side of your body, not the front.
- Please ensure you provide an accurate height with your order. We can usually tell if your kilt length is too short or long based on your height.
