About The Gunn Ancient Tartan
Clan Gunn is a historic Highland and Norse-Gaelic clan from the far north of Scotland, primarily associated with the rugged region of Caithness and Sutherland. The clan traces its origins back to the Viking era, believed to descend from the Norseman Gunni, a grandson of the Norse Earl of Orkney.
Clan Gunn became known as fierce warriors and staunch defenders of their lands in the northern Highlands and was often involved in historic feuds with neighboring clans such as the Keiths.
